Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Known for her work in television and in film in the 1980s, she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger older sister St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from their father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in high school, and realised that it was acting she wanted to do. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they were married. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
